Governor Laura Kelly, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, on Monday directed flags be flown at half-staff on all state buildings, grounds, and facilities effective immediately until sundown on the day of interment in honor of Kansas State Representative John Resman. He represented Kansas House District 121 since 2017. "Representative Resman has a decorated history of serving his community, our state, and our country throughout his time in the Army, Kansas National Guard, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kansas Legislature," Governor Laura Kelly said. "My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. This flag order will be updated when the date of interment is determined.
