Source excerpt

Official Source and Evidence for This Half-Staff Order

Arkansas’ 68th District in 2018, and in 2023, due to redistricting, Berry began representing Arkansas’ 44th District, where he served on the House Public Transportation Committee, the House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee; WHEREAS: Berry loved the Natural State and had committed a great portion of his life to public service. It is fitting that Arkansas should honor him and his years of service to her people. NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, Governor of the State of Arkansas, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Arkansas, in tribute to the memory of Stan Berry, and as an expression of public sorrow, do hereby direct that the United States flag and the state flag of Arkansas be flown at half-staff from March 25, 2026, to sunset on the day of Berry’s interment. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Arkansas to be affixed this 25th day of March, in the year of our Lord 2026. ###
